In 2020, the British Columbia (BC) Ministry of Health announced ongoing funding for the provincial Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Advanced Practice initiative.
The ACT Advanced Practice initiative works to bridge the gap between research, practice, and policy in mental health and substance use services across BC. Operating under a provincial mandate, we support the implementation, continuous improvement, and sustainability of specialized evidence-informed practices across the province.

Ruby Wong
Ruby Wong is a trained as an occupational therapist with a Bachelors in Human Kinetics and a Bachelor of Science, Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia. She has over 10 years of clinical experience in community mental health including early psychosis, housing and outreach in Richmond, Vancouver and Melbourne, Australia. More recently, she has gained extensive experience in regional projects with clinical education and virtual health as an educator and planner. She has a keen interest in providing barrier-free access to practical tools and resources to frontline clinicians.
